All about the Artist

 

I started making bears when my sister showed me the one she had made.  I am extremely creative and love to try my hand at most crafts and as I love to sew, making bears seemed to come naturally to me and not to mention the joy they bring when they come to life.

 

I have been making bears for over 10 years but over the past 3 years have not put pencil to paper to design as working in London is very tiring, which gave me little time to be creative.  I have now stopped working full time enabling me to focus on designing and creating my own bears once again.

 

The name LorriBea is my nickname “Lorri” and my daughters nickname “Bea” (from the name Bronwyn – I know most people would have called her Bronnie but I called her Bea).  We are very close as mother and daughter so it was only appropriate that I call my bears “LorriBea Bears”.
